Kutch - Khengarji III (1876-1942 AD), Fifth Series, naming Edward VIII, 5-Kori VS1993 / 1936, 13.90 grams; 2½-Kori, VS1992 / 1936, 6.90 grams; Kori, VS1992 / 1936, 4.70 grams (KM Y#63, 65, 66, respectively), a complete set of Silver denominations in the Edward VIII series. Obverse legend names Khengarji III in Nagari and reverse mentions Edward VIII in Farsi, with mint-name ‘Bhuj’. Although Edward VIII did never get crowned, by the tenets of Indian kingship, his rule had begun after his accession. So coins in his name were struck by states like Kutch and Jodhpur. Extra Fine.
