Army Sports Control Board (ASCB) India Medal. Silver. 29.10 grams, The British Indian Army always promoted sports among the soldiers. This was done through the Army Sports Control Board in all the garrison towns such as Poona, Bombay, Rawalpindi, Deccan District, and others. Here on offer is a silver medal with the Star of India on the obverse surrounded by the names of all the garrison towns of India inscribed on a banner wound around a wreath. The medal is not awarded. Post-independence, sporting culture is promoted among the armed forces under the aegis of the Services Sports Control Board, which brings together all the three service wings.
