Portuguese India, Silver Rupia, 11.70grms, Dated 1947, Obverse: Tiny towers and shields above divided shield on lined circle, Reverse: Shield on lined circle at center of Maltese Cross, It’s fascinating that while the British Part of India had completely moved to Copper & Nickel Coinage, Portuguese part still continued to issue 50% silver coin, infact this was the last year of any silver coinage in India, Very Fine+, Very Scarce
