Indo-Greek Coinage, Eukratides I (c. 171-145 BCE) – Copper Unit, weighing 3.60g. Obv: featuring a diademed bust of Eukratides I wearing a horned Boiotian helmet, facing right. Rev:Maharajasa/Evukratidasa (of Great King Eukratides), depicting the Dioskouroi (the twin horsemen) charging to the right, each holding a spear and palm branch. A monogram appears to the right. The coin is in crude style and has a quadrangular flan. It is believed to have been minted in the Paropamisadai or Gandhara region. Cataloged in Bopearachchi Series 20D-F, ODH#157. Very Fine,Rare (R2)
