Kuchaman State, Maharaj Shri Thakur Suraj Mal (1764–1793 AD/1178–1208 AH), INO Shah Alam II, Silver Rupee, 10.70grms, AH1203/RY31, Issued as a feaudatory to Jodhpur State, Very Fine+, Very Scarce Thakur Suraj Mal maintained nominal allegiance to Jodhpur while exercising considerable autonomy. His administration was marked by efficient revenue collection, localized justice systems, and military readiness. Though the British had limited direct interaction with Kuchaman during his reign, he cautiously observed their rise, aligning with Marwar interests to safeguard regional stability.
